Why the price is a single number

Most locksmiths quote a part price, then add labour, a call-out and sometimes a travel surcharge once they are standing in your lobby. We price the finished job instead: the lock, removal of the old mechanism, fitting, alignment, testing and handover are one number.

That is only possible because letterbox locks are all we do. We are not squeezing a mailbox between two door jobs, so we are not pricing for the uncertainty.

The only things that change the price

Every one of these is stated in writing before we travel — never discovered on site.

Lost-key opening adds S$25 per unit, only when the mailbox is locked and you have no key. Urgent installation adds S$10, because it is a special arrangement outside our planned route. A damaged or rusted door may need repair before a lock will seat; quoted separately, and you can decline. A non-standard enclosure may need a different solution entirely.

There is no night rate and no emergency multiplier. A 2am lost-key opening costs the same as a 2pm one, plus the S$10 if you need urgent installation.

Bulk, project and MCST pricing

Five or more units in one visit takes 5% off every lock. Ten or more takes 10%. Twenty or more is priced by written quote after a short survey, because at that scale the mailbox bank usually has its own quirks and an automatic total would be dishonest.

Project work for interior designers, renovation firms, developers, MCSTs and managing agents is invoiced once, with a per-unit breakdown attached for the committee or the client file.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

How much does a letterbox lock installation cost in Singapore?

Supply and installation starts from S$50 for a standard HDB or condo letterbox. If the mailbox is locked and the key is lost, opening adds S$25 per unit, so a typical open-and-replace job starts at S$75. Digital touch-PIN models start at S$60 and the range tops out at S$85. Urgent installation adds S$10. The final price is confirmed in writing after we review your photo.

Are you really open 24 hours?

Yes. We answer WhatsApp and phone round the clock, every day of the year, including public holidays. Late-night and early-morning lost-key openings are a regular part of what we do. Urgent installation, at any hour, carries a S$10 surcharge, stated in writing before we travel — there is no separate night rate and no emergency multiplier.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No call-out fee and no attendance fee. Standard visits on our daily route carry no travel charge at all. The only additional charge is S$10 for urgent installation, a special arrangement outside our planned route — and that figure is in your written quote before we travel.

I lost my letterbox key. Can you help?

Yes. We open the locked mailbox and fit a replacement lock the same visit. Opening starts from S$25 per unit and we verify on site that you are the resident, owner, tenant or an authorised person before anything is opened.

When do I pay?

After the job is done and you have confirmed it. We install the lock, send you a short video of it working, and you only pay once you are satisfied. There is no deposit, nothing to pay online and no card details taken.
