Lost your letterbox key?
We open the mailbox and fit a replacement lock on the same visit, at any hour. Opening starts at S$25 per unit, so a typical open-and-replace job starts at S$75 all in.
What to do first
Before booking anything, check whether a spare exists. Letterbox keys are commonly handed over at unit collection in a set of two or three, and they routinely end up in a drawer, with a family member, or still on the original tag from the agent. Ten minutes of looking can save S$25.
If the key is genuinely gone, send one straight-on photo of the mailbox front along with your postal sector. We will confirm the replacement model and the total price in writing before we travel — day or night.
Proof of authorisation — and why we insist
We will not open a locked mailbox for anyone who cannot show they are entitled to its contents. That is not bureaucracy; it is the entire reason a letterbox has a lock. Your mail contains bank correspondence, government letters and identity documents.
On site we sight proof that you are the resident, owner, tenant or an authorised person for that unit. ID is sighted only and never photographed, copied or recorded. If you are acting for a relative, tell us in advance and we will explain exactly what is needed.
This protects you far more than it inconveniences you. A locksmith who opens mailboxes without asking is a locksmith who will open yours for someone else.
Never lose it again
Most lost-key customers switch to a combination model on the same visit. P2 at S$50 has no key at all. P3 at S$55 has a code plus a backup key that retrieves it — the sensible choice if you are replacing a key you have already lost once.
Common questions
I lost my letterbox key. Can you help?
Yes. We open the locked mailbox and fit a replacement lock the same visit. Opening starts from S$25 per unit and we verify on site that you are the resident, owner, tenant or an authorised person before anything is opened.
How much does a letterbox lock installation cost in Singapore?
Supply and installation starts from S$50 for a standard HDB or condo letterbox. If the mailbox is locked and the key is lost, opening adds S$25 per unit, so a typical open-and-replace job starts at S$75. Digital touch-PIN models start at S$60 and the range tops out at S$85. Urgent installation adds S$10. The final price is confirmed in writing after we review your photo.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. We answer WhatsApp and phone round the clock, every day of the year, including public holidays. Late-night and early-morning lost-key openings are a regular part of what we do. Urgent installation, at any hour, carries a S$10 surcharge, stated in writing before we travel — there is no separate night rate and no emergency multiplier.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No call-out fee and no attendance fee. Standard visits on our daily route carry no travel charge at all. The only additional charge is S$10 for urgent installation, a special arrangement outside our planned route — and that figure is in your written quote before we travel.
