Why fitting is included rather than extra
A letterbox lock that is supplied but badly fitted is worse than no new lock at all — it will bind, mis-catch, or work loose within a month and you are back where you started with less money.
Separating the lock from the labour invites exactly that outcome, so we do not do it. We supply what we fit and we fit what we supply, and the warranty covers the workmanship as well as the part.
The detail that decides whether it works
Three things have to be right and only one of them is the lock. The cut-out diameter must match the body. The door thickness must fall within the barrel's clamping range, or the retaining nut never reaches proper torque. And the cam swivel direction must match the strike on your particular mailbox.
That third one is the quiet killer. A lock installed with the cam reversed will appear to lock while the door simply pulls open. We check it on every fit and test the throw against the strike before we leave.
New mailboxes and project installations
If you have a new mailbox with an empty cut-out, say so when you send the photo — there is no old mechanism to remove, so we just need the cut-out diameter and door thickness to confirm a model.
For interior designers, renovation firms and new construction, we fit before handover or TOP, using one consistent model across every unit on the site. Send the unit count and your handover date and we will schedule around it.
Common questions
Can you match the existing lock on my letterbox?
In most cases, yes. Send one straight-on photo of the mailbox front and we identify the cut-out, cam type and swivel direction, then confirm in writing which model fits. If we confirm a model and it does not fit on site, you pay nothing — including no attendance fee.
How long does a letterbox lock replacement take?
Most single replacements take 15 to 30 minutes once we are on site and the mailbox is accessible. Bulk jobs for a whole block are scheduled as one coordinated visit.
Do you work with interior designers and new construction projects?
Yes. We are a one-stop letterbox lock solution for interior designers, renovation firms, developers, MCSTs, managing agents, town councils, property agents and landlords, as well as individual residents. Projects get one consistent model across every unit, a written per-unit scope, work scheduled around your handover or TOP date, and a single consolidated invoice.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No call-out fee and no attendance fee. Standard visits on our daily route carry no travel charge at all. The only additional charge is S$10 for urgent installation, a special arrangement outside our planned route — and that figure is in your written quote before we travel.
