A letterbox lock is opened once a day for thirty seconds and then ignored. It does not need an app, a notification or a firmware update. It needs to work in ten years' time in a humid corridor with no maintenance, and a well-made mechanical combination lock does exactly that.
There is also nothing to be locked out by. No flat cell, no corroded battery contact, no keypad that stops responding in heavy rain.
A 3-digit code gives 1,000 combinations; a 4-digit code gives 10,000. For a letterbox in a normal residential block, three digits is genuinely sufficient — the realistic threat is opportunistic, not a patient attacker working through a thousand combinations in an open corridor.
Go to four digits (P8 or P9) if your block has actually had mail tampering, if the mailbox bank is in an unmonitored position, or if you simply want the margin.
P2 is our most popular lock and the only one with no backup key whatsoever. That is the point of it: there is no key to lose, cut or hand over. The trade-off is that if you forget the code and the door is closed, the lock has to be drilled and replaced.
P3, P5, P6, P8 and P9 all ship with a backup key that retrieves your code. If there is any chance of a forgotten code, particularly for an elderly resident, take one of those. P3 is only S$5 more than P2.
Yes — most of our range. Our combination models (P2, P3, P5, P6, P8 and P9) have no battery at all, so there is nothing to charge and nothing to fail. Only the digital touch-PIN models (P4 and P7) use a replaceable battery, and those warn you before it runs low.
Supply and installation starts from S$50 for a standard HDB or condo letterbox. If the mailbox is locked and the key is lost, opening adds S$25 per unit, so a typical open-and-replace job starts at S$75. Digital touch-PIN models start at S$60 and the range tops out at S$85. Urgent installation adds S$10. The final price is confirmed in writing after we review your photo.
Most single replacements take 15 to 30 minutes once we are on site and the mailbox is accessible. Bulk jobs for a whole block are scheduled as one coordinated visit.
After the job is done and you have confirmed it. We install the lock, send you a short video of it working, and you only pay once you are satisfied. There is no deposit, nothing to pay online and no card details taken.
