BTO FAQ
Should I change the letterbox lock on a new BTO?
Many owners do, mainly to go keyless so the whole family can open it without spare keys. It is your choice; the lock supplied works fine.
How does a BTO group buy work?
Collect orders in your block chat, then send us the block and unit count. 5–9 units get 5% off lock prices, 10–19 get 10%, and 20+ units get a written quote. We install them on one coordinated visit.
Do I need HDB, town council or MCST approval to change my letterbox lock?
Generally, changing the lock on your own unit's letterbox with a like-for-like fit does not need approval, as long as the letterbox itself is not altered. Rules can differ by estate, so check with your town council or MCST if you are unsure. For a block-wide or common-area mailbox bank, the MCST, managing agent or town council must approve the works first, and we help prepare that request before anything is scheduled.
How much does a letterbox lock installation cost in Singapore?
Supply and installation starts from S$50 for a standard HDB or condo letterbox. If the mailbox is locked and the key is lost, opening adds S$25 per unit, so a typical open-and-replace job starts at S$75. Digital touch-PIN models start at S$60 and the range tops out at S$85. Urgent installation adds S$10. The final price is confirmed in writing after we review your photo.
